Endscenes

An Endscene is our name for a small, single ended module which we use to finish off a main line – safer than just having a track ending at the board joint and prettier than just clamping a protecting board across!

Two of the endscenes are actually part of the RS Tower sectional layout, but are compatible with the modular system and so get used on modular setups from time to time.

Cement Plant

This is the right hand end section of the RS Tower Layout. Board size 18″ x18″ and it depicts a rail-served cement plant, so it can add an additional industry to a modular setup if needed. Chris Collins did most of the scenery on this board including a nice weathering job on the plant. Module has a backscene so can only be used in a “right hand end” configuration.

Farm Track

This is the left hand end section of the main RS Tower Layout. Board size again is 18″ x 18″. The track dissapears into the backscene under the wooden overpass. The module has a backscene so can only be used in a “left hand end” configuration.

Tail Board

Neil Rogers built this standalone module, it’s designed in such a way as it can be used at any either end of layout, it also adds around 12″ of track to the end of the setup which can be useful for a headshunt or runround track when certain modules are used at the end of a setup. The dimensions overall are only 18″ x 18″

Under construction, an 18″x20″ double track endscene with urban scenery – the name represents a closed grade crossing which is the current end of track – it will have a usable track length of around 1′.
