Gillsburgh – Motive Power Depot

Gillsburgh by Ian Smith is a module set in a rough L shape with a loco servicing facility as the main visual feature. The facility has a fully operational 90′ turntable feeding a roundhouse, and there is a fuelling shed/rack for holding and doing basic servicing on full motive power sets. In addition there is a small car shop.

In terms of industries the engine terminal receives diesel fuel in tank cars, and occasionally a car load of parts. The car shop is fed from the turntable so can take up to a 60′ car if it’s switched with a trackmobile.
