Crosskeys Swing Bridge

Leigh Bowen is building this module, which is an 8′ x 20″ double track module with it’s main feature as a river crossing with swing bridge, he is also modelling the levee’s and gates to protect the surrounding low-lying countryside.

The module is now named “Crosskeys” after a bridge in Lincolnshire.

The module is being built using the Walthers swing and truss bridge kits.

  1. Somewhat late, I’ve only just spotted this, my late Father in Law used to “drive” the “crosskeys” bridge at Sutton Bridge.

The road serving the bridge on the Kings Lynn side is named “King John Bank”, and KJ was supposed to have lost his treasure somewhere in that area, (or it was stolen by the Barons, you can’t trust ’em you know!)
